Expedition To Fort Ticonderoga

June 20-22, 2025

Join the Massachusetts Warriors for a thrilling trek into the North Country

First built in the 1750s as a guardian of the Lake Champlain-Richelieu River route into French Canada, Ticonderoga/Carillon was the site of an epic 1758 siege during the “French and Indian” or Seven Years War in which many of our New England ancestors took part.

The two-day long gathering will commence with a Friday night dinner at our campaign headquarters, the Best Western Plus Ticonderoga, featuring remarks from Fort Ticonderoga’s President & CEO Beth Hill and Curator Matthew Keagle. Saturday will be devoted to special VIP tours of Ticonderoga’s historical exhibitions and extensive fortifications by land and by water (via a short boat tour of Southern Lake Champlain), including the British-built powder magazine recently restored with our Society’s support. A catered sunset dinner within the ramparts will complete the day’s activities. For spouses and guests possibly more interested in scenic explorations than military history, self-guided day trips to the sublime Basin Harbor resort in nearby Vergennes and/or the charming college town of Middlebury should be available. Twenty double rooms have been reserved for us at the Best Western Plus Ticonderoga Inn & Suites — Call the front desk at 518.585.2378 with the code "SCWMA" for a reservation at discount.

The cost is $150 per person including the Friday and Saturday dinners.
